Chongqing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau announced on January 9 that General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of PRC has formally approved Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and Cuntan Port to be the designated ports of fruit imports in western inland regions.

To get the approval, Chongqing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Chongqing Port Office, and Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau carried out in-depth inspections in Jiangbei International Airport, and Cuntan Port.

10 million yuan ($ 1.61 million) have been invested on rectification. The opening of designated ports of fruit imports in Chongqing will not only rich the product range, but also to promote the development of the import and export fruit market in Chongqing and the foreign trade economy.
