In 2014, Chongqing's e-commerce sales are expected to reach 450 billion yuan ($72.35 billion). The sales volume of more than 10 ecommerce enterprises exceeded 1 billion yuan in 2014, according to a report from the 2015 Chongqing Trade Circulation Work Conference.
Last year, Chongqing processed the construction of its e-commerce industrial parks. The Cuntan Cross-Border E-Commerce Demonstration Park also started operation.
At the same time, Chongqing focused on the work of incubating e-commerce enterprises. Chongqing Jingdong Chuangmeng Information Technology Company has started operations in Chongqing, and the sales volume is expected to exceed 2 billion yuan in 2015.
The e-commerce industry has been expanded in different industries including agriculture, transportation, finance and tourism. Chongqing has opened the Third Local E-Commerce Sales events, which brought 800 million transactions.
Chongqing's e-commerce industry has been integrated with the real economy. To date, among Chongqing's 10,000 large scale enterprises, 68.7 percent of them have opened e-commerce sites based on the third-party platform.
