The busiest travel time in Liangjiang's Minguo Street is expected to start on Jan 20, with a travel time of 10am to 4am, and is due to finish on Jan 23.
The second phase of Minguo Street construction project is currently in full swing. Due to the project construction works, some road exits in the street will be blocked with some parking areas also closed.
To make it more convenient for self-driving travelers, a new temporary car park with a capacity of 500 will be opened to the public before the Chinese New Year holiday. Meanwhile, a special pedestrian passageway is planned to open for the convenience of travelers.
To welcome tourists from different places, a range of different activities will be carried out on the street, including Spring Festival couplet writing, window decoration paper cutting and New Year picture drawing. A limited amount of New Year lucky bags will also be given out to tourists.
However, due to the construction projects under way on Minguo Street, pedestrian capacity will be limited and tourists are recommended to avoid peak travel times.
