As the biggest industrial park in Liangjiang New Area, the Longxing Industrial Park will construct a new cultural tourism site this year, according to the Liangjiang administrative committee.

The committee said that Longxing will put its focus on improving the environment, image building, commercial residential development and the publicity of local culture. Meanwhile, Longxing will continue to protect and develop its ancient town.

The environment protection project will cover 20 land parcels with a total area of 1,000 hectares. In addition, the landscape of Liangjiang Street and Shengtang Street will be updated.

"We should seize the right moment for the construction of the new site and promote its development," said a staff member from the Longxing Industrial Park.

Wang Qifan, mayor of the Chongqing Municipal Government, pointed out in this year’s government report that Chongqing will speed up the development of Longxing.

The report also noted efforts in speeding up its infrastructure construction and in promoting the development of people's livelihood, in adittion to attracting more enterprises to settle in its industrial park.
