The Liangjiang New Area is one of the state-level new areas situated in the municipality of Chongqing. Recently, it held the 10th plenary session on February 2, to sum up its work in 2014 and have an outlook on 2015.

Tang Zongwei, deputy secretary of the Liangjiang New Area Party committee, introduced Liangjiang’s economic achievements in 2014, especially the GDP of Liangjiang in 2014, which reached 186.1 billion yuan ($31 billion), a year-on-year increase of 15 percent.

In addition, Ling Yueming, secretary of the Liangjiang Party committee, pointed out that they would consider development as their first priority. It is hoped that this will not only improve the amount of investment, consumption and exports but also help perfect the innovation of system.
