Shanghai DIG (Direct Imported Goods) opened a new branch in the Chongqing Bonded Trade Center in Liangjiang on March 8, according to the official website of Liangjiang New Area. The new branch has more than 7,000 imported goods on offer.
The newly opened DIG shop is expected to attract more customers to the bonded trade center and to promote the development of the Cuntan bonded port into an International core logistics hub.
"There are many varieties of import snacks which are cheaper than the other supermarkets," said Mrs Gao, who bought imported commodities from supermarkets in Chongqing's city center prior to the opening of the new DIG branch.

A senior staff member from the Shanghai DIG Group said that the prices of import commodities in the DIG in Chongqing Bonded Trade Center are 20 percent to 30 percent lower than those selling in the supermarkets. For instance, the supermarket price of Kjldsens butter cookies is 158 yuan ($25.28) per pack while the price is only 109 yuan per pack in DIG. The price of seafood in DIG is also more reasonable than in other markets.
