A development project for a nuclear power thermometer instrument intended has received scientific research funds of more than 10 million yuan ($1.61 million), according to the Chongqing Material research Institute, who will also carry out the project.
The project is a supporting project of the Hualong One, a Chinese-designed reactor intended for civil use. The Hualong One project has entered the Chinese national key technology support program and received a national fund of 8 million yuan.
Hualong One is a third generation nuclear reactor jointly developed by the China National Nuclear Corporation and the China General Nuclear Power Group. Further construction work on the Huanglong One project is expected to start in 2015 to improve the conditions for selling nuclear products overseas.
