China’s largest outdoor sports smart devices developer, Mfox Technology Company, established itself in Chongqing’s Liangjiang New Area on June 16.

Mfox plans to invest 1 billion yuan ($161 million) into the construction of an industrial base for wearable smart devices and a sports data center in the Liangjiang International Cloud Computing Industrial Park.

The new industrial base will enable the company to manufacture wearable smart devices, such as sports watches, smart bracelets and outdoor smart phones. The smart devices allow people to record their physical conditions while participating in sporting activities such as swimming.

A sports data center, which will also be built in the area, will store data collected by the devices and sports Apps developed by Mfox. This will help the company develop tailor-made exercise plans for users according to their records. A communication platform will also be built for sports enthusiasts.

Mfox’s settlement in Liangjiang is a step further in consolidating Liangjiang’s position as the most important manufacturing base for terminal products in the world.
