Kawasaki Heavy Industries, a world-leading robot construction company, took the lead in the development of a new robotics system integration project and robot construction base in Liangjiang Shuitu Industrial Park by committing a substantial investment on June 19. The investment commitment marks a notable step in the development of Chongqing's robotics industry.

The robot construction base project in Liangjiang is currently the only one of its kind in West China. In accordance with the plan, investment for the project will exceed 200 million yuan ($32.22 million) in the next three years. The project is expected to cover robot system integration, robot construction and robot system production.

When the project is put into operation, the sale of robots and robot-related products is expected to reach 1,500 units per year, resulting in an annual output value of 400 million yuan.

Kawasaki started the construction and sales of industrial robots in 1969 and has now grown to become one of the world's top five robot mainframe construction enterprises. Other than construction, Kawasaki also provides customers with a professional after-sales service and technical support.
