The first national robotics testing center in West China has been officially launched in Liangjiang, according to the Liangjiang administrative committee. The center has a registered capital of 100 million yuan ($16.11 million).
The testing center will occupy an area of 1.07 hectares and is expected to receive an investment of 200 million yuan. It is supposed to enhance the country's competitiveness in robotic research and development.
According to Li Xiangdong, general manager of the National Robotics Testing Center, the project will contain a robotics research platform and robotics testing platform. The research platform will focus on the research and development of robotics production criteria, while the testing platform will focus on the testing and adjusting of robot products and components.
"The National Development and Reform Commission have given big support to the construction of this platform because Liangjiang new area owns a complete robotics industrial chain," said Tang Zongwei, deputy director of the Liangjiang administrative committee.
