Representatives from Shanghai Mingjiang Intelligent Corporation signed a contract with Liangjiang New Area on June 19. The contract outlines a significant investment to the area.
According to the investment plan, Mingjiang will construct a new robotics base in Liangjiang's Shuitu Industrial Park. The total investment earmarked for the construction has been set at 100 million yuan ($16.11 million).
The project will occupy an area of 1.33 hectares when completed. It will provide whole solutions to integrated production lines and will contain a smart, digitalized factory. The base will also focus on the research and development of industrial robots.
Once the robotics base is in operation, it is expected to reach an annual output value of 1 billion yuan.
According to Chen Jun, general manager of Shanghai Mingjiang Intelligent Corporation, Mingjiang will combine the company's situation with the actual situation of the country's manufacturing industry to construct a comprehensive manufacturing service platform.
