To ensure the safety of Liangjiang's elevators, large scale checks were carried out in the area to eliminate security risks, according to the Liangjiang administrative committee.
To better understand the safety conditions of Liangjiang's elevators, officials emphasized three aspects during the inspection. Firstly, data was double checked to eliminate any elevators with security risks. Secondly, a special folder containing information regarding the security risks of elevators has been formulated. Thirdly, officials in Liangjiang also checked the professional qualification certificates of elevator maintenance staff.
Any elevator companies found to have problems will be required to rectify them within a given time limit. Statistics show that 59 elevator security risks have been found in Liangjiang, all of which have been corrected.
The next stage of the security checks will see Liangjiang adopt a classified supervision mode, separating the area's elevators into different groups based on their service life and maintenance conditions.
