A branch of Chongqing No 18 Middle School recently opened in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area.

The school, located in Liangjiang's Yufu Industrial District, received an investment of 185 million yuan ($20.06 million). The new has an expected capacity of 3,000 students.

According to the Liangjiang administrative committee, educational support has become increasingly important, as an increasing number of enterprises have entered the district. The opening of the new school has enriched the district’s educational resources.

Yufu Industrial District has promoted the area's social programs in the last five years, such as education projects and park construction projects, according to a senior staff member from the district.
