The three-day-long Chongqing Food Cultural Festival took place in Chongqing's Jiangbei district from Sept 26-29.
The festival featured around 500 local Chongqing local specialties and was sponsored by the Chongqing Commerce Commission and Jiangbei district government.
The specialties on display at the festival included local flavors from Chongqing's 38 counties and ethnic group special snacks such as Wanzhou roast fish and Fulin cassia sweet rice balls.
Chongqing xiaomian (small noodles) from different districts in the municipality were popular among visitors.
100,000 free food tasting coupons were made available for festival participants, allowing them to vote for their favorite Chongqing snack.
