The Yangtze River Basin National High-tech Park Federation was established in Shanghai on Oct 12, Liangjiang.gov.cn reported.

The federation was jointly established by Shanghai Zhangjiang High-tech Park, Nanjiang High-tech Park, Hefei High-tech Park, Wuhan Donghu High-tech Park and Chongqing Liangjiang High-tech Park.

The federation aims to be a bond linking parks along the Yangtze River basin so as to cultivate industrial cluster and thus contribute to the economic development of the Yangtze River economic belt.

There are currently 61 high-tech parks along the Yangtze River Basin area, more than 40 percent of the nation's total.

So far, 47 parks have joined the federation. The federation will have regular study and investment promotion activity to share information and facilitate cooperation.

In recent years, high-tech development zones along the Yangtze River Basin have increasingly closer relations. Zhangjiang High-tech Park in Shanghai has cooperated with Zhejiang and Jiangsu province in establishing 15 parks there.
