The 2015 China-German City Contemporary Art Exhibition stopped at Chongqing's Liangjiang Gallery on Oct 28, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.
A total of 120 artworks will be shown during the exhibition, which is aimed at enhancing exchanges between China and Germany and improving mutual understanding.
The first stop of the exhibition was in Dusseldorf, Germany, a sister city of Chongqing, early this September.
The exhibition features paintings and sculpture. Among these works, 53 are from Chongqing and seven are from Germany. The artists include Fu Yuxiang, Xiang Guohua, and German-Chinese Ren Rong, and Jan Kucharzik, a German artist currently living in Chongqing.
The artists aim to show the diversity of art through their work. They also show China's contemporary society and economy.
"It is a discussion of art education rather than a simple exhibition. It is important for mutual understanding between artists of both countries," said Ren Rong.
