Liangjiang New Area signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Southwest Security on Nov 5, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.
The agreement seeks to improve the capital market in Liangjiang New Area and the Chongqing municipality.

Apart from traditional financial services, Southwest Security will provide individualized financial services and innovative financial products. It will also provide consultation on economic development, financial policy and local reforms.
Liangjiang will invite Southwest Security to participate in the economic development, industrial planning and funding of the area. Southwest Security will help Liangjiang companies with IPOs, refunding, mergers and acquisitions, and asset securitization.
Cui Jian, president of Southwest Security, noted that cooperation with Liangjiang District is important to the company as its headquarter is in the Liangjiang New Area.
He said the company will help Liangjiang implement cooperation strategies and make bigger contributions to economic development.
He Yousheng, deputy director of the Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, recognized the achievements of Southwest Security. He hoped the company can continue help the district in improving its capital market.
He said he is confident the company will play a role in a financial center on Yangtze River.
Local government officials and company executives attended the signing ceremony.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
