A new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) drone by Chongqing Weiyan Aviation Technology Company (Weiyan) is set to enter the market next April, according to a company spokesperson. The company has made significant progress in developing its UAV project.
Weiyan is a high-tech enterprise based in Liangjiang that develops, produces and sells UAVs. The company owns patents in leading technologies in flight control systems and network construction.
According to a senior from the company, its main products are civil industrial-grade UAVs. Two UAV models are currently in their testing phase. One of the drones can be used to collect data, while the other is designed to spray pesticides.
Compared with the general UAVs, the ones produced by Weiyan are alleged to have better expansibility. They can be connected to various communication connections and can house cameras and thermal imagers.
According to a senior from Weiyan, the company's UAVs can be controlled beyond the horizon. A flight route can be set before takeoff, allowing the UAV to complete the mission by itself.
