The 2015 World Robot Conference (WRC) took place in Beijing from Nov 23-25.
Seven enterprises from Liangjiang, including Kawasaki, were represented at the conference, demonstrating the area's technical strength and scientific achievements.

Kawasaki's factory production line robot was one of many products displayed at the conference's exhibition. It included four spot welding robots and one car body. According to Wan Yechuan, a staff member from Kawasaki, the demonstration was aimed at helping visitors understand how robots work in an industrial setting.
"Our spot welding robotics products can be customized in accordance to customers' requirements," Wan added.
The robotics products produced by Kawasaki are generally used in the manufacturing industry, such as shipbuilding and aircraft manufacturing.
Kawasaki is a world-leading robotics company and an industry leader in the development of a new robotics system integration projects. It has a robot construction base in Liangjiang Shuitu Industrial Park.

Jinshuo, another robotics companies based in Liangjiang, also showcased its products at the conference. The company unveiled its spray painting robot to the public at the conference, according to Xu Guohua, a staff member from Jinshuo.
Liangjiang is currently focusing on constructing itself into a manufacturing zone for robots. The annual output value of the new area's robotics industry is expected to reach 30 million yuan ($4.71 million) by 2020.
