The China Rapid Manufacturing Engineering Research Center, the country's 3D printing leader, has announced that it will build an innovation center in the Yongchuan district of Chongqing, Xinhua has reported on Nov 30, noting that the district signed an investment agreement with the center to help develop it into an industry leader.
The center is expected to provide technical and technology support and services for 3D printing for the aviation, aerospace, military, automobile, auto parts, and healthcare industries and for cultural innovation and it also is expected to become an incubator for new technology, products and professionals.
The center is scheduled to have a trial run at the end of this coming January and industry experts have said that the center will boost all high-tech industries in Chongqing.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
