Mashang Financial Company launched an instant lending app called Spicy loan this week, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.
Mashang Finance is the first non-banking financial institute in Chongqing. Spicy Loan is aimed at local people that have stable and sustainable incomes and social insurance. Applicants do not need a mortgage to apply for loans. It is easy to apply for loans via the app. People only need to download the App, fill in their ID number, phone numbers and basic personal information. After Mashang Company checks the information with the Municipal Social Security Bureau, approved applicants can get money within three minutes.
With the rapid economic growth in Chongqing, there is also increasing consumption demand. The post 80s and 90s generations have strong consumption drive and pay attention to quality rather than prices. As a result, instant loans are needed more than ever before.
"Before spicy loan was developed, had to go to the social insurance bureau for documents before they could apply. That usually takes a lot of time,” said Wei Xin, data director of Mashang Financial Company.
Thanks to Spicy Loans, applicants only need to submit information online and allow an online background check. Applicants can borrow up to 20,000 yuan based on how much social insurance they pay.
Wei noted that Mashang Finance will increase innovation and cooperate with local social security authorities in other parts of China to launch customized products for local people.
Financial innovation will promote the industry. Since its establishment, Liangjiang New Area has made progress in internet finance. Companies such as Aibaba Micro Loan and Hai’er Micro Loan, have formed a cluster in the new area.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
