Chongqing Tariff Bonded Goods Sales Center will have sales from Dec 25 to Jan 3 to celebrate the New Year, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.
Imported wine will be 40 percent off and consumers can “buy one get one for free” for certain brands of wine. Luxury brands such as Prada will have discounts from 40 percent to 70 percent off.
Over 20,000 imported products are available at the tariff bonded center, including fruit, snacks, daily necessities, jewels and clothes.
An area selling Australian food opened on Dec 25 and stores specialize in Italian, German, Korean and Japanese goods will be open soon.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
