A Valentine's Day wedding banquet had a nasty surprise for the guests as they prepared to sample what should have been a superb dish of braised beef.

Instead of succulent pieces of beef, a dead rodent was found in the banquet at a local restaurant.

Food and health authorities are investigating the incident.
