Chonginqing has established a national web surveillance system that recently began trial operation, Chongqing Daily reported.
The surveillance system is able to conduct real-time monitoring of web operations to make sure they are stable and smooth and to improve the quality of internet telecommunication.
This year, Chongqing will accelerate construction of "Broad band China" and surveillance of internet speed.
The system is positioned to be a big data analytic platform to attract exterior investment and guide the information industry of southwest China.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
