The Chongqing Lianglu Cuntan Tariff-bonded Commodity Exhibition Center will offer numerous discounts from March 4 to 31 to celebrate International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.
Down jackets and kids’ garments will have 80 percent off. Cloths above 6,000 yuan will enjoy 70 percent off. Luxury brands such as Armani and Burburry will also have discounts.
About 90 percent of the brands in the center will take part in the sales.
The center’s Malaysian Hall will have a 1.2 percent off sale for imported yanwo (edible bird's nest) from March 4 to 13.
Watches, shoes, and skincare products from Japan, Italy, France and Korea will all have discounts during the sale period.
There are over 20,000 items in the tariff-bonded center, including fruits, snacks, daily necessities, wine, jewelry, and garments. They originate in 40 different countries.
The trading center has established three branches in Guaiyinqiao, Jiefangbei and Nanping Gongmao for downtown consumers.
The Nanping Gongmao Goods Exhibition and Trading Center has recently opened its Korean hall, which means Chongqing people can get reasonably priced Korean products.
The Chongqing Tariff-bonded Commodity Exhibition Center will also work on cross-border e-commerce to allow people to make purchases much more conveniently.
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
