2016 Chongqing International Tourism Carnival (CITC), an important exhibition for tourism companies in Southwest China, will be held in Chongqing International Expo Center as part of the 2016 Chongqing Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit, Sept 16-19.
This year’s exhibition is co-hosted by Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and Beijing-based World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF). The exhibition is the ideal platform for WTCF members to exhibit the wonders of their respective cities and help bring touristic development to Chongqing.
Once CITC is underway the gigantic 30,000-square-meter exhibition area will become an inspiring scene of color and noise as over 50 worldwide tourism organizations and 100 famed cities gather behind impressively decorated booths.
This year’s exhibition focuses upon developing tourism on a global scale with a specific emphasis on using innovation to transform cities into world destinations. It is hoped that Chongqing will seize the opportunity to become a world leader in tourism over the coming years.
WTCF has successfully hosted Fragrant Hill Summit four times since it was established in 2012. The city focused organization facilitates exchange and cooperation to promote sustainable tourism and has grown from 58 to 174 members in a short time. It is hoped that this latest conference will offer invaluable opportunities to attendees.
