Twenty-eight teachers from primary and middle schools in the Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing Municipality performed well in the finals of the 2016 Liangjiang New Area Teaching Skills Competition, liangjiang.gov.cn reported on Oct 17.
Primary, secondary and high school teachers attended the competition and were required to take three tests on handwriting, case studies and impromptu speaking. The tests were designed to test the teachers’ abilities in writing, presentation, and their ability to deal with problems.
In ability, four teachers scored better than all the others in the competition. And they will all enter the municipal level finals for the Liangjiang New Area.
The competition was expected to improve teachers’ teaching skills and abilities, so that they can be a more positive influence in the classroom, according to the organizing committee.
The competition was co-hosted by the Liangjiang New Area education bureau and the district federation of trade unions.
