The Chongqing branch of automotive lock manufacturer Huf Automotive Systems officially opened at a ceremony in Liangjiang New Area on Oct 21.

After a year of construction in Longxing Industrial Park, the company’s facility is ready to produce up to one million automotive lock sets a year. Its production capacity is expected to reach 2 million lock sets and 1.5 million door handles after the second-stage of construction is completed.

The addition of Huf Automotive Systems to the area is expected to improve the added value of automobile parts and transform and upgrade the auto industry in the region by increasing effective supply.

With an investment of 157 million yuan ($25.3 million), Huf covers an area of 2.67 hectares and hires over 300 employees. It has installed cutting-edge production equipment and advanced manufacturing technology to support the Chinsese automotive industry, especially in central and western China.

Excellent investment environment, sustainable development and the huge market potential of the automotive industry attracted the Huf Group to invest in a factory in Liangjiang New Area. Huf Group is an enterprise with more than 100 years of history, producing automotive locks and handles and mechatronic car-access systems.
