The outpatient building of Liangjiang New Area No1 Hospital opened more than two dozen consulting rooms to receive patients without charge on Oct 27.
At a cost of 245 million yuan ($36 million), the outpatient building was completed in March after three years of construction. The complex spans 44,000-square-meters and has 20 floors.

The building contains an outpatient department, medical laboratories, medical inpatient department, meeting rooms, administrative offices and a three-floor underground garage.
The hospital will streamline procedures through a mobile app, to allow things such as booking appointments to be done at the touch of a button.
The national second-class public hospital was funded by the Liangjiang New Area government.
