Over 500 pairs, parents with their children, gathered at the Chongqing Garden Expo Park in Liangjiang New Area, to participate in the parent-child outdoor running campaign on Nov 19.
The event was co-organized by the Chongqing Garden Expo Park and Chongqing Yuyue Culture Media Co to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the park’s kickoff. It also aimed to promote the exchange and communication between parents and children through family outdoor activities.
Several interesting games were designed throughout the running campaign, including running while holding hands, kicking footballs, and painting.

A 100,000-square-meter chrysanthemum exhibition displayed up to 400,000 chrysanthemums in the park, attracting lots of runners to stop and enjoy the blooming flowers.
Zhang Shuyu, deputy director of the Chongqing Garden Bureau, said, “The Chongqing Garden Expo Park has become a reputable element of Chongqing and a famous tourism resort in China in the past five years. This year’s event provides a great platform for parents to get close to their children.”
This year the park was added to the list of Chongqing Top 10 Tourism Spots and it will further perfect its tourism infrastructure and help Liangjiang New Area build a modern district.
Chongqing Garden Expo Park covers an area of 3,300 mu (220 ha), with views of nearby mountains, lakes, and gorges. The expo park boasts various miniature gardens that mimic 80 domestic cities and 30 overseas cities. The park aims to develop into a large eco-center, integrated with natural scenery and a cultural focus.
