A memorandum of cooperation regarding the China Food and Drinks Fair was held in Chongqing on Dec 27, with an agreement that the Chongqing International Expo Center will host the 97th China Food and Drinks Fair next October.

Liu Guiping, deputy mayor of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, met with Li Fengchun, general manager of the China National Sugar & Alcohol Group, and discussed future cooperation between Chongqing and the company.

Liu introduced Chongqing’s economic development status in terms of industrial structure and inland opening-up.

“The convention and exhibition industry in Chongqing has developed rapidly in recent years. Chongqing has successfully hosted several international conventions this year, including the 2016 Fragrant Hill Tourism Summit and the 2016 China International Friendship Cities Conference,” said Liu.

“Chongqing has successfully held the China Food and Drinks Fair twice, which laid a good foundation for this fair. Our company will now start the preparation for next year’s fair to ensure another success for Chongqing’s convention industry,” said Li Fengchun, general manager of the China National Sugar & Alcohol Group.

The China Food and Drinks Fair is the largest and most influential exhibition and trade platform in China’s alcohol and food industry. Visitors can enjoy the chance to taste various exotic foods and drinks during the fair.
