A launch ceremony for the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Talent Training Center was held on the Liangjiang campus of Chongqing University of Technology (CQUT) on Jan 6.
The training center was co-funded by the Liangjiang New Area government and Chongqing University of Technology to develop various training activities for companies settled in the Liangjiang New Area and those transitioning from being rural residents to urban residents.

The center is equipped with 12 classrooms and dormitories for trainees, which can accommodate more than 500 trainees to study and live there. The center is expected to train about 10,000 to 20,000 people every year.
Eight renowned enterprises from Liangjiang New Area, including BOE, Beijnig Hyundai, and Shenzhen Laibao Hi-Tech Co Ltd, signed strategic cooperation agreements with the center for pre-post training and vocational training.
Zeng Jinghua, vice secretary of Chongqing’s Party Committee, said, “The cooperation between the two sides will promote the integration of education resources and talent training. The new mode of university-government cooperation will provide strong talent support for the local companies.”
Teachers from an international program, jointly organized by CQUT and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, will support the center’s training sessions. The program was officially launched on CQUT’s Liangjiang campus last September.
