The Spring Peony Flower Art Exhibition opened in the Guanyin Bridge CBD of Liangjiang New Area on March 12.
The exhibition was held to boost the publicity of Guanyin Bridge CBD and beautify its surrounding environment.
With more than 200 peony flower art works on display, the exhibition will run until April 1 and is expected to draw a large number of visitors. An estimated 30 types of peony flowers are on show with varieties such the deep red Walter Mains, the fuchsia-pink Bowl of Beauties, and the hot pink Ruth Clay presented.

Covering an exhibition area of over 500 square meters, the peony flower artworks can be visited in three different areas of the Guanyin Bridge CBD; the street side high-quality peony exhibition, the peony garden in Caixin Plaza, and the massive peony flower arrangement in Civic Square.
It is hoped the exhibition will increase the cultural influence of Guanyin Bridge CBD and help the district to publicize its image as an area integrating tourism, shopping, and entertainment.

China has a long history of appreciating and valuing the beauty of peonies. The flower is revered for its large and fragrant blossoms and is known in Mandarin as fugui hua, which translates as a flower of riches and honor. It is often regarded as China’s unofficial national flower.
