The 2017 China (Chongqing) Automobile Technology and Material Expo (CATME) kicked off at the Chongqing Yuelai International Conference Center in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing, on March 22.
The three-day expo featuring high-end metal materials and intelligent equipment will last until March 24. More than 800 exhibitors are gathered at the exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, presenting over 2,000 kinds of cutting-edge technologies.
The exhibition provides a professional platform for automotive related companies to present new materials, new technologies, new products, and new processes, which will attract 30,000 professional visitors from worldwide automotive industries.

World renowned companies including power and automation technology giant ABB group and German conglomerate company Siemens will show up at the expo. Visitors can view the world’s leading industrial robots technologies that ABB presents during the exhibition and see how ABB robots are involved in the automotive industry, as well as automatic digital production technologies from Siemens China Co Ltd.
New automotive material companies have seized the chance to keep pace with other leading technologies, including Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, Ansteel Group Corporation, and China Zhongwang Holdings Limited.
The global auto industry has been betting on China’s Liangjiang New Area, the only national development area in inland China. It has become the largest automobile manufacturing area in China. The expo is expected to strengthen exchanges and cooperation among automotive industries and expand access for companies to exhibit and promote their latest products.
