The 6th Painting and Calligraphy Competition wrapped up a few days ago in Liangjiang New Area, raising public awareness of safety.
The annual contest, held since 2012, aims to build a safety culture in Liangjiang, and alert the citizens, especially the children, to the potential risks in every aspect of life.
This year’s event, sponsored by the federation of trade unions, work safety administration and education bureau of Liangjiang, has collected 422 entries, including traditional Chinese paintings, paper-cuts, cartoons and calligraphy.
Competitors from kindergartens, schools, factories and communities used those media to express their opinions about safety in areas like home fires, driving and road behavior, food hygiene and production work.
A jury of three experts judged the entries and picked 50 pieces to reach the next round to be held in Chongqing municipality.
