"Compared with children, adults are more likely to appreciate the illustrations. They can explore the relationship between themselves and the world, and even find long lost child-like innocence," said Tao Xibao, organizer of the exhibition.
Tao added that the exhibition aims to provide young Chongqing illustrators a platform to display the vigorous glamour of their illustrations.
Chongqing illustrator Pei Changlong brought 32 sketches to display at the exhibition. He said, "My illustrations focus on human beings and emotion, and cover family chores, ideas and philosophical thinking."
Visitors can also find four illustrations on display from the famous Chinese-English bilingual drawing book, Tree, which was awarded as the Most Beautiful Drawing Book in China 2016 and as a selection of the 2016 Frankfurt Book Fair.
