More than 200 elderly people gathered at Chongqing's Gele Mountain to make zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) on May 25, in celebration of the coming Dragon Boat Festival.

Zongzi are made using glutinous rice stuffed with fillings such as meat, egg yolk and red bean, and wrapped in large flat leaves such as bamboo leaves or reeds.

They are most commonly eaten during the Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on the fifth day of the fifth month on the traditional Chinese calendar–May 30 this year.
