Emerging tech startups were drawn to the Global Creators Community Chongqing Summit (GCC) held in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area on May 26, seeking the world's most advanced insights in cutting-edge virtual reality (VR) technologies.

Guests from more than 10 world leading VR content creators, including Microsoft, Google, Sony, Unreal, Jaunt, 3Glasses and UCCVR, were invited to speak at the summit. Prospects and predictions for immersive computing platforms, how VR should drive the games industry and Google's VR and AR strategies were discussed with industry experts and entrepreneurs at the event.

Fu Guoxin, founder and CEO of Ultimate Creators Create Virtual Reality (UCCVR), an organizer of the summit, said that an immersive computing platform is in its origins and will begin booming with development in the next five years.

Fu also noted that Chongqing traditional industries should find a new VR and AR tools to survive the fast-changing world.

"The Liangjiang New Area will focus on boosting its culture industry to help local companies improve culture industry technologies and cultivate creative talent," said He Yousheng, deputy director of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee.
