An event themed "Poetic Liangjiang" attracted more than 40 renowned poets from across the country to gather at the Liangjiang New Area's TMG Arts Center on June 1.

A series of activities, including readings of folk poem collections and a poetry club, were organized for poets to discuss the huge changes that have happened over the past 20 years in Chongqing.

Visiting poets toured culture and innovation industry clusters in the Liangjiang New Area, including Zhaomushan Technology New City, Longxing Industrial Park, Jinshan E-cool, Liangjiang International Movie City and Chongqing Bonded Products Exhibition and Trade Center.

Wang Mengju, deputy director of the Liangjiang New Area management committee, said that the Liangjiang New Area is not only a modern city, but also a center of culture. She hopes the beautiful scenery can inspire poets to create better works.

Poet Li Yi said, "The unique landscape, local customs and the character of Chongqing are what attracts more and more people to invest and settle here."
