Although no was blood spilt, the series of battles that took place between specially designed robots in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing on May 29 was certainly not for the faint hearted.

The Chongqing area was chosen to host the second round of Major League FMB (Fighting My Bots) after a lead off round of fights in Beijing. It is China's first robot fighting competition and has proved successful attracting 11 profession clubs, dozens of amateur participants, and thousands of robot fanatics.

The competition is taking place in a series of four stages with the winners in Chongqing progressing to the third stage in Shenzhen before a grand finale in Shanghai.

Running parallel to the professional fighters was an experience center which allowed audience members to try their hand at fighting robots as well as other robotic endeavors and games.
