Chongqing to host intl auto fair

The 2017 China Chongqing International Auto Industry Fair is scheduled to open at the Liangjiang New Area's Yuelai International Convention Center from June 8 to 14.

Some 100 automobile enterprises will be exhibiting over 1,000 automobile types for auto fans across a 170,000-square-meter exhibition area.

World renowned auto brands including Carlsson, German car tuning manufacturer specializing in Mercedes-Benz cars, and Alfa Romeo, Italian car manufacturer, will take part in the fair for the first time.

About 40 new international vehicles will debut during this year's auto fair. Concept cars, including SWM's EROE, Hongqi's U-Concept car and QOROS's Model K-EV, will take the stage for the first time in Chongqing.

The auto fair will also offer visitors the opportunity to experience new intelligent driving technologies, including virtual reality, adaptive cruise control, self-driving and pilotless parking.

The 2017 Global Automotive Forum will be held alongside the auto fair, attracting leading experts in the automobile industry to discuss new industry innovations.
