Chongqing develops transportation over five years

Waterways:

The waterway mileage in Chongqing has reached 4,472 kilometers, including 1,400 kilometers of four-rated waterways as of 2016, and Chongqing has gained a total shipping trade of over 20 billion yuan ($3 billion).

Chongqing has improved 300 kilometers waterways over the past five years to promote navigation of the Yangtze River and Jialing River.

Guoyuan Port of Chongqing, the largest pivotal port combining shipping with rail and highway transport in China, has produced a harbor capacity of 193 million tons of cargos and 4.1 million containers.
