Ge Honglin, president of the Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (CHALCO), led a delegation to visit the Liangjiang New Area (LNA) on Aug 23.
Chen Lyuping, vice mayor of the Chongqing Municipality, met with Ge Honglin, and introduced LNA’s advantages and planning for the automobile and rail transit industries to the CHALCO president.
Chen noted that CHALCO has cooperated with LNA on an aluminum alloy deep-processing base and a research institute. LNA will continue to give full support to the company's future projects.
Ge Honglin said that Chongqing enjoys a favorable location and convenient transportation, which will aid the company's research, development and accelerate its cooperation with LNA.
CHALCO is a leading company in China's non-ferrous metals industry, with a strong portfolio of assets among global competitors. It is also the only large company in China's aluminum industry that is engaged in the whole value chain, including the exploration and mining of bauxite and coal, production, sales and R&D for aluminum products.
