Canshi Film Development Co Ltd signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Chongqing's Liangjiang International Movie City on Sept 8.
Both sides will cooperate on the construction of a shooting location base, reception and negotiation of film shooting, co-shooting of movies and television plays and actor recruitment.
Cui Can, president of Canshi Film Development Co Ltd, said, "Chongqing is a quite suitable city for filmmaking as it enjoys unique natural landscapes, and a rich history and culture."

Liangjiang International Movie City is located in the Longxing Industrial Park of Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area. The 120,000-sqaure-meter city is just one hour's drive away from downtown Chongqing and 20 minutes from local airports. The reproduced Republic of China era buildings, which echo many of Chongqing's unique landscapes, are ideal locations for shooting.
Cui Can also stressed that the company will invest over 40 million yuan ($6.19 million) on an internet drama to shoot in Liangjiang International Movie City.

Xie Bo, general manager of the Zesheng Cultural Tourism Business Management Co Ltd, operator of Liangjiang International Movie City, said, "We are now recruiting actors from across the country and have received 500 resumes in three days."
The company will provide training for employed actors to cultivate and develop the cultural tourism industry of the Liangjiang New Area.
