Wu Zhiqiang: protect water resources
Wu Zhiqiang, vice-president of Tongji University, said, "Liangjiang should widen its perspective on water protection and harnessing water to achieve sustainable development in an efficient way."
Wu noted that Liangjiang, and even the country, should get a clearer understanding of its development status and be confident about settling environment protection problems.
"Now China has reached an urbanization of about 57 percent, and has more advanced technologies and more scientific ideas for environment protection. We should create a China model for environment protection," Wu said.
