With the theme of "overseas returnees seeking the development of Liangjiang New Area", a meeting gathering returnees from Europe and the United States was held in in Liangjiang New Area's Internet Industrial Park on Feb 2.

This meeting was organized by the Liangjiang Talent Service Center. It aims to arouse the enthusiasm of returnees to Liangjiang's development and give more momentum to the socio-economic development of Liangjian.

More than 70 overseas returnees from fields including automobile, artificial intelligence, big data, medicine, finance and business investment attended the meeting.

During the meeting, participants shared experiences of how they started their businesses. Human resources personnel of Liangjiang New Area introduced Liangjiang's environment and preferential policies. Activities including talent show and games created a relaxed and lively atmosphere.

Since its establishment in May, 2015, European and American fellow-students association in Liangjiang New Area has played an important role in promoting the economic development of the area, building an information pool of overseas talents and encouraging overseas returnees to better serve the country with their expertise.

Currently, European and American fellow-students association has nearly 100 members. It serves as a platform to promote communication and friendship, academic exchange, and the economic development of Liangjiang.
