With a theme of "gathering talents for innovation", the forum shed light on the development of technologies including wearable devices, sound effects, virtual and augmented reality, robotic technology, Internet of things, 3D printing, electronic sports, and blockchain plus.
Industry representatives from companies like UCCVR Ventures, DT Capital Partners, Shanghai Oriental Pearl Group, and PICO gave keynote speeches at the forum. Insights on future trends in technology were shared among the representatives throughout the forum.

The forum seeks to build a bridge between product and market demand, between talents and startup teams, and between capital and innovative projects. In addition to the lectures and discussions, there are displays of projects, interviews with tech entrepreneurs, and meetings between investors and project managers.
"This is the first big event held in Digital Economy Industrial Park since its foundation, " Yang Lijie, a member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the management committee of Liangjiang New Area, pointed out in his speech.
"We hope that by hosting this event, we could provide a platform that gathers innovative and insightful entrepreneurs and spurs the development of high-tech industry in Chongqing. Hopefully, more companies and talents will settle in Liangjiang New Area," Yang Lijie said.
"This forum could promote the development of digital technology firms and promote the construction of the Digital Economy Industrial Park in Liangjiang New Area," an organizer said.
By 2020, the industrial park will be the main force in developing the big data economy and a national demonstration zone of digital economy. It is estimated that the production value of the virtual reality industry in Chongqing will reach 10 billion yuan($1.58 billion).
John Edwards, the UK trade commissioner for China, praised Chongqing over its rise as a burgeoning center in intelligent manufacturing.
