As a major force in streamlining the digital economy, Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area is speeding up integration of digital technology with the eservice industry.

Chongqing Internet Institute's E-home Hotel, the first intelligent eco-hotel in the city, will be open by September, 2018, local media reported on April 13.

Sitting in the Liangjiang Digital Economy Industrial Park, the hotel will cover an area of 15,000 square meters and offer 164 guest rooms designed for multiple functions.

Equipped with unmanned stores, shared vehicles and intelligent robots, the hotel will provide an incredible and unparalleled experience for all ages.

The hotel will carry an intelligent operation system and a cloud data center to present convenient services such as 3D previews and smart receptions.

"Guests can book rooms via online travel agencies or social media apps and check in with ID information and facial recognition," said a manager of the hotel project. "Other troublesome procedures can be handled at the smart reception as well."

According to the project manager, the hotel is a trailblazing practice as Liangjiang seeks to become the largest digital economy industrial park.
