The gallery opened in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area on Oct 27, with its first exhibition featuring The Garden of Forking Paths (originally titled "El jardín de senderos que se bifurcan" in Spanish), based on a 1941 short story by Argentine writer and poet Jorge Luis Borges.
Resonating with the story's themes regarding the secrets of time, the first exhibition is meant to explore the links between time and China's modern arts.
The exhibition attracted many celebrities, including Pan Shiyi, president of SOHO China, as well as some popular musicians and artists. They gave their best wishes for ArtDepot's development over the coming decades.
