Since the beginning of 2018, the Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing has further extended the role of unemployment insurance in supporting enterprises to stabilize their posts and reduce labor costs.
So far, the local government has issued 1,051 companies with job subsidies, benefiting 160,000 employees and reducing the burden of enterprises by 40.63 million yuan ($5.85 million).
In order to give full play to unemployment insurance in stabilizing posts, promoting employment, preventing unemployment, and serving people's livelihoods, relevant social security system departments in Liangjiang have made joint efforts to improve the efficiency of the administration, increase policy publicity and extend the acceptance period.
For example, the street social security institute and the district service hall were assigned to both accept the business so that the enterprises are able to handle the services nearby. Qualifying enterprises with electronic signature certification can also make online applications via mobile phones.
Meanwhile, the deadline for applications has been extended from Oct 31 to Dec 31. The operation platform will then accept and examine the applications to ensure more qualified enterprises enjoy preferential policies.
Keeping abreast of the specific handling matters is the regional media campaign. QQ and Wechat official accounts, offline meetings and printed brochures are being used to carry out publicity for these favorable conditions.
Moreover, the Liangjiang is also strengthening its audit and supervision capabilities, including subsidy accepting, examining, publicizing and other links to promise standardized procedures.
Finally, it will put more emphasis on making sure companies use the funds for workers' living allowances, social security payments, training fees and other related expenses.
